SPARKLEBRITE 012NL-PA is a non-leafing aluminum pigment carried in isopropyl alcohol. This grade is based on cornflake geometry and produces strong metallic effects in solvent and waterborne flexographic and gravure inks. Although SPARKLEBRITE 012NL-PA can be used in aqueous inks, it is not treated to protect against the aluminum-water reaction and special care must be taken to evaluate the gassing stability of each grade in the final ink formulation.
