ET2025 presents an exceptionally reflective, coarse grade of aluminum flake pigment in an easily handled, low dusting, granular form. The high metal content has been chosen to maximize formulation flexibility while ensuring good dispersibility in a wide range of thermoplastics. This grade is suitable for styrenics, polyolefins, polyamides, polyesters and acetal polymers. It may also be suitable for certain grades of EVA, polycarbonate and PVC, but compatibility tests are recommended.

The exceptional brightness of this grade makes it particularly suited to the simulation of medium-fine automotive paint finishes. For this application, a concentration of 2-4% on polymer is suggested.

For most applications it will be sufficient to tumble blend ET2025 with polymer granules prior to extrusion or moulding. Only for very low concentrations or a particularly high degree of dispersion is it sometimes necessary to prepare an intermediate masterbatch. High shear at any stage of incorporation should be avoided as it bends and breaks the aluminum flakes, causing darkening and loss of metallic whiteness.

Aluminum pigment should be stored in the original shipping container and kept tightly sealed. Store containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated, and properly rated area. Avoid any conditions that will suspend or float the particles in the air, creating a dust cloud. Avoid all possible sources of ignition.
