SPARKLE SILVET 730-30-E1 is a very coarse particle size, very bright, high sparkle aluminum pigment produced in pellet form to reduce the potential for generating airborne particles and to improve ease of handling. The pellets are produced by a low shear process for easy dispersion. The particle size distribution range is controlled to produce clean chromatic effects when used with transparent pigments and dyes. Because of its very large particle size and polished cornflake geometry it will produce a coarse grain high sparkle effect when used at high loading levels or a mild glitter effect when used at low loading levels. Because of its broader particle size distribution range it will not produce the strong glitter effects obtainable with the “glitter series” pigments.

SPARKLE SILVET E1 grades are easy to disperse and are compatible with a variety of polymers, particularly polyolefins. They are typically used to make concentrates or compounds for use in final processing by injection molding, extrusion, blow molding or blown film processes. In some cases, SPARKLE SILVET E1 can be used directly in end-use processing but care must be taken to ensure complete dispersion is achieved. Their pellet or granular form make them easy to handle and incorporate.

It is normally sufficient to tumble blend the pellets with the base resin and any additional colorants or additives before processing. Incorporation techniques should not subject the flakes to high shear forces.

Aluminum pigment should be stored in the original shipping container and kept tightly sealed. Store containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated, and properly rated area. Avoid any conditions that will suspend or float the particles in the air, creating a dust cloud. Avoid all possible sources of ignition.
